Vintage Postcard Image Gallery
Welcome to the Rogue Bea vintage postcard image gallery. I created this collection with scans of postcards that have passed through my hands throughout the years. Some postcards are from my great grandmother's collection, some I've bought and eventually sold. The copyright on these images has expired. Feel free to save, screenshot, or enjoy browsing these high resolution scans.
In this collection you will find beautiful images from Ellen Clapsaddle, M. M. Vienne, Samuel Schmucker, Tuck's, John Winsch and Gottschalk.
The golden age of vintage postcards lasted roughly from 1908 to 1913. This was an era when postcards weren't just mail, they were art. Many postcards were printed in Germany, mostly in Leipzig. Massive stone buildings, with billowing smoke churned out 10,000 cards per day. During the postcard craze, Americans mailed over seven hundred million cards per year. Back then, postage cost one cent flat, until 1918. After World War One hit, imports were banned and paper was rationed. Most presses shut down until the 1920's, but by then? Everyone'd moved onto phone calls. These images are some of the last breath of all that magic.
Vintage Halloween Postcards

By The end of December I finished the basic build of the house. The roof took several days to complete and there was a particularly dark moment when I was batch dying all those tiny shingles. My Christmas gift was this wonderful custom dollhouse stand from a local business called Maker of Man Glitter out of McCutchenville, Ohio.
